Vertical machining center FEELER VMX-1650

This FEELER VMX-1650 is a vertical machining center of linear guides available as new machine in stock. With an X-axis travel of 1.650 mm and workbench of 1,700 × 800 mm , it is the highest travel model of the VMX series. The Y and Z axes both reach 800 mm, and the allowable load on the table is 2.000 kg/m².

The structure is manufactured in Meehanite casting and analyzed by finite elements (FEM)The spindle head is of monolithic design — with a rigidity improvement of 5% about conventional designs— and the base of the column incorporates reinforced A-profile. The X-axis mounts 6 sliding blocks about linear roller guides, and the Y axis incorporates 3-way linear guidespecific configuration of the VMX-1650 to distribute the cutting load more uniformly. The ball screws are driven by direct motor with preload to eliminate the positioning error.

The spindle of direct drive DDS operates at 12.000 rpm with cone ISO 40 and a power of 15–25 kW. The machine is supplied with control FANUC 0i-MF Plus (10,4"), including Manual Guide I and AICC II. The equipment included in the Vallcal configuration comprises internal refrigeration at 30 bar with filtering, chips extractor of the chuck-type with 2 auger-type extractors, oil separator/drill press, electrical panel with air conditioner and certification EC. The ATC of the swing-arm type has capacity for 24 tools with maximum diameter of Ø 80 mm.

The VMX-1650 is aimed at workshops and manufacturers in the sectors of automotive, molds and dies, aerospace and machinery that require a large-stroke vertical center with Fanuc control, available immediately for commissioning.
