CNC tangential grinder EQUIPTOP ESG series

The ESG series from EQUIPTOP includes tangential grinders of horizontal spindle for the high-precision plane grinding in large-dimension pieces. The range is organized into two families according to table width: the series 24, with 610 mm wide and work strokes of up to 3.000 mm, and series 32, with 815 mm wide and longitudes of up to 3.035 mm. Each family is available in variant TDNC (intelligent PLC control with touchscreen) or CNC (with Delta system, Mitsubishi or Fanuc at the customer's choice).

The bush-type spindle incorporates 4 preloaded angular contact ball bearings in the front part and 2 at the rear, powered by a heavy-duty class V3 motor. The Y (vertical) and Z (transverse) shafts use direct drive spindle ball screw about linear guides with forced automatic lubrication, powered by DC servo motors. The longitudinal X axis is driven by a hydraulic system with infinitely variable speed between 5 and 25 m/min (60 Hz). The spindle motor is 10 CV in the series 24 (expandable up to 25 CV) and of 15 CV in the series 32 (expandable up to 25 CV). spindle speed is 1.750 rpm at 60 Hz / 1.450 rpm at 50 Hz.

The vertical travel of the grinding head has quick travel 460 mm and slow travel of 6 mm, with steering resolution of 0,001 mm in three scales (×1, ×2 and ×4). The automatic penetration advance per pass oscillates between 0.001 y 0.05 mmThe automatic cross travel reaches 660 mm in series 24 and 880 mm in the 32 series. The distance between the spindle center and the table surface is 720 mm standard, expandable to 850 mm or 1.000 mm as option.

The TDNC controller incorporates a touchscreen 10.4" TFT LCD with start point programming, fine finish volume, target point and exit point. The automatic lubrication system operates by a forced circulation oil pump on all guides and ball screws.

This series is aimed at manufacturers who need to incorporate or expand capacity of precision planar grinding in large-format parts, in sectors such as dies and molds, industrial tooling, automotive and construction of capital goods.
