5-axis vertical machining center FEELER series U

The series U from FEELER groups models of 5-axis vertical machining center —U-250, U-600P, UB-660, U-800, U-800T and U-1000— designed for high-speed, high-precision machining of complex geometry parts. The range covers strokes from 350 × 300 × 250 mm (U-250) up to 1.250 × 1.250 × 1.000 mm (U-1000), with shaft configurations adapted to different production scales.

Five-axis architectures are divided into two groups: rotary table A/C in the models U-250, U-600P and U-800, with tilt ranges of up to ±120° and rotation C continues from 360°; and tilting head plus C-axis UB-660 (swing-head, ±110°) and the U-1000 (shaft B of +30° to −180° with exchange table APC). The UB-660 incorporates a combined work area — circular table of Ø 660 mm for vertical alignment and rectangular surface of 1,450 × 700 mm for horizontal alignment— result of the versatility of the tilting head.

The structure of all models has been calculated by the finite element method (FEM) to optimize static and dynamic rigidity. The linear axes mount roller guides with rapid advances of up to 50 m/min. The spindles operate between 8.000 and 12.000 rpm15.000 rpm; the cones go from the No. 30 (U-250) to No. 50 (U-1000), and the warehouses ATC cover 26 positions standard (U-250) to 120 positions optional (U-800, U-1000).

The U series is aimed at manufacturers of components for sectors aerospace, automotive, molds and dies, medical equipment and consumer electronics that require simultaneous five-axis machining with high positional repeatability, both in unit production and in series.
