Vertical machining center with FEELER linear guides VMX series

The VMX series of FEELER is a range of vertical machining centers with linear guides composed of seven models — VMX-580, VMX-760, VMX-820, VMX-1020, VMX-1100, VMX-1300 and VMX-1650— to which the variants are added VMX-580APC and VMX-820APC with integrated automatic pallet changer. The series covers travel along the X axis from 580 mm until 1.650 mm, with worktables of 650 × 420 mm a 1,700 × 800 mm and load capacities of up to 1.500 kg.

The structure is manufactured in Meehanite casting and analyzed by finite elements (FEM)The spindle head is of monolithic design, with a rigidity improvement of 5%, and the column base incorporates A-profile. The three axes mount linear guides with rollers; the Z axis uses roller guides of 45 mm to reinforce the shear rigidity, and it has the option of a prismatic guide for higher-demand applications. The ball screws are driven by a direct motor with preload to eliminate the positioning error.
