FEELER horizontal lathe FTC Series

The series FTC of FEELER group lathes CNC of inclined bench for precision turning in continuous production. The range covers from the compact model FTC-300, with a maximum turning diameter of Ø300 mm, up to the FTC-640, with capacity of Ø640 mm of diameter and turning lengths up to 1.440 mm in the FTC-640L variant, which allows addressing applications of small, medium and large size within the same family.

The bench is a single-block cast MEEHANITE with angled geometry 30° in the models FTC-300 and FTC-350, and 45° in the models FTC-450 and FTC-640. This configuration promotes chip evacuation by gravity and improves access to the work area, while contributing structural rigidity. The design has been validated through finite element analyses with ANSYS and NASTRAN to ensure the absence of deformation under sustained load.

The precision spindle incorporates double-direction angular contact bearings with heat dissipation in the head that reduces heat buildup and extends bearing life. The maximum spindle speed varies by model: 6.000 rpm (FTC-300), 4.500 rpm (FTC-350), 3.500 rpm (FTC-450) and 2.000 rpm (FTC-640, with two-speed gearbox). The linear guides on the X and Z axes allow rapid traverses up to 30 m/min.

The series supports multiple configurations: the models MC incorporate shaft C and powered tool for milling and eccentric drilling; the model FTC-350S integrate subhusillo with live tooling for machining in a single operation; the models LY and SLY they add Y axis and counter spindle for high-complexity complete machining. Bar capacity ranges from Ø52 mm (FTC-300 and FTC-350) and Ø117.5 mm (FTC-640). The standard numerical control is Fanuc 0i-TF.

The FTC series is aimed at component manufacturers in the automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic, and precision machining sectors who require configuration flexibility and coverage of a wide dimensional range in full-process lathes.
